Starboard side leak

I have had a small leak on my starboard side for a few years and now it is time to investigate the source. It appears to be at the deck / hull join amidships and with the trim of the boat on stands it is more pronounced and fills the locker base with about 1/2" each time it rains. To move this forward El Capitano will need to remove the rubbing band and this appears to be a significant task!!

  1. I had a problem a couple of years ago my 22 "Melody" had the rubbing strake damaged in Storm Katie nothing was visible only found it when we were hard pressed on starboard tack and lockers then boat filled up with water. The hull and deck are bolted together and the rubber fendering fits over the bolts. I put new fendering on the boat it needs two people and a hot air gun

    1. Apologies for the delayed reply. I have been busy with other things so I haven't tackled the leak yet. A friend of mine has and he may be able to suggest some tips. By all means email me at chantilly.bridgemarsh@gmail.com and I can try and put you in contact.
